Hello hello! I'm from the Netherlands but was in Milano on Youth Day at the Datchforum (see pix on my site if you like). Wonderful, wonderful people, you. I'd like to learn Italian fast so that I can visit more often and read Il budha nelle speccio!

was attracted by the beautiful lion-portrait...

Hello everyone, my name is Lora, I am Italian, living in the USA since 1992. I never practiced in Italy, although I was introduced to Nam-myoho-renge-kyo in my beautiful hometown of Rimini, on the Adriatic coast. I have now been a member of the SGI-USA for 16 years, and am glad for this website who has united me with others who are Italians. I have just created a group for Italian Speakers, through which we can share our beautiful language. I miss speaking and writing in my mother language, and most of all I think it would be wonderful to study in my own language as well. I have been studying Buddhism in English and Spanish, as my district is 96% Hispanics 4% other languages (^_^). Most of our study is done in Spanish, so I am very grateful for this, as it gave me the opportunity to learn another language. I hope some of you, who are Italian speakers, will like to join the new group.
Saluti a tutti, ciao ciao
Lora

Ciao! Friends from Italia! Mi Amore Italiano! I love the music, culture, food, and most of all the people! I've visited Milano, Tuscano, Firennze, Sorrento, Venicia, Torino and many other places. This Sept we will go to Cinque Terra. Please say hi to Mr. Walter Nuzzio of Torino if you see him. Also to Ms. Julie Dittmar originally from US. Many other members whom I had the pleasure of meeting.

Ciao Ciro, thanks for starting the SGI-Italy group! I moved to the U.S. 10 years ago but started practicing in Italy when I was still in high school. I miss practicing there!!

Ciao! I love being Italian and Buddhist of course...grew up second generation in Winthrop, Massachusetts US...very close to Boston! The North End of Boston is our Italian enclave and hugely popular with students and tourists. Always felt little more cosmopolitan and think it is my Italian heritage, not a 'stars and stripes' type of gal. Hope to make it to Italy some day and visit lots and lots of community centers.
